Post a Reply. I was wondering what mouse and mousepad Day9 uses, can't seem to find any information about it online. I've noticed through all of his dailies that his mouse movement and clicking are extremely precise, more than what I've ever seen. I know getting certain hardware is obviously not going to make me play better just like that, but I believe getting some good hardware will help me along the way - anyone sitting in with this information?

You should probably ask for good hardware instead of day9 hardware. I think he's using a Razer mouse, he talked about it in a daily somewhere around I think.

The reason his mouse movement is precise probably has more to do with the fact that he has practiced Starcraft for countless hours than a special mouse. According to this thread , Day[9] uses the Razer Diamondback which can be found on sites such as eBay for cheap, as for the mousepad, I have no idea.

I'm not sure what day9 uses but I've read a lot of threads on this subject. It pretty much comes down to your preference. Does it feel good on your hand? Thats the biggest concern. The specs on the mouse doesn't matter that much. A standard mouse has an average of dpi which works fine. Ok cool, thanks a lot! I know there are lots of other hardware threads, but that's also the problem. So many freaking opinions, it gets me way too confused. I have seen with my own eyes the precision in Day9's mouse movement, ergo getting the identical hardware means I can focus purely on practicing my mouse movement and no longer worry about hardware setting any limits.

Now the mousepad is the only remaining mystery. Whats with the obsession with expensive gear, you don't need it at all.
