Why does trent reznor hate marilyn manson

I remember those guys. Having worked with Reznor for years and taken his advice on a number of professional decisions, Manson got on on the straight and narrow relatively speaking the very next day. Ever the professional, Marilyn Manson didn't let a petty musician feud hold him back. He moved ahead and finished the record they were working on. We were like brothers and I couldn't even tell you why we fell out. It was something to do with him getting some fame and both of us being out of our minds.

Manson is a noted collector of prosthetic limbs. Rather than convince the man to part with a necessary part of his body, Manson saw a young woman wearing a Nine Inch Nails shirt and decided to put on an amateur strip show for the musician instead. Despite a few rocky points in their relationship, Reznor acted as a kind of father figure to Manson, ushering him through the early era of his rock stardom.

After a night of taking psychedelics freaked Manson out to no end, Reznor treated Manson and the rest of his band to breakfast at McDonald's. However, he had something chaotic on his mind. Before we had time to eat, Trent, who like myself is an instigator, tossed a soggy hash brown at Twiggy.

Wiping potato from his face, Twiggy grabbed an Egg McMuffin, picked it apart and threw it at Trent layer by layer. Soon meat, eggs, drinks, bread, syrup and food morsels in various states of digestion were being tossed and spit all over the crowded van.

It was an all out McWar, but with ketchup everywhere instead of blood. Considering the volume of illicit substances Reznor has used, it makes sense that he'd be foggy about the details of some of his tours. However, in a conversation with Kerrang! On a lot of that tour I don't even remember playing the shows.

I got off the bus after two years going, "Who am I? I couldn't physically repeat that without an oxygen tent onstage. We were all [dependent on controlled substances] and full-on party machines and that was one of the factors that led me to being in a very depressed state at the end of that tour.

Manson told Zane Lowe :. All of the past, any sort of squabbles or arguments or disagreements, that shit just went away.
